Quality Standards

Last updated: September 2026

SerpMarket isn't an open directory — every publisher site goes through a review before it's listed. This page explains what site owners report when they apply, what our team checks before approving a listing, and what the metrics on each listing mean.

1. What Every Listing Reports

When a site owner applies to list their site, they report the following metrics. These are the same figures shown on every listing in the marketplace:

  • Domain Rating (DR) — a 0–100 score representing the strength of a site's backlink profile.
  • Domain Authority (DA) — a separate 0–100 score estimating how well a site is likely to rank in search results.
  • Monthly Organic Traffic — an estimate of the site's monthly organic search visitors.
  • Spam Score — a 0–100 score estimating how likely a site is to be flagged as low-quality or spammy; lower is better.
  • Referring Domains — the number of unique domains linking to the site.
  • Dofollow Status — whether links placed on the site pass SEO value by default.
  • Turnaround Time — the typical time the publisher takes to deliver a placement once an order is accepted.

2. Our Review Process

Every new site submission enters a pending queue and is manually reviewed by the SerpMarket team before it appears in the marketplace. During review, we check the site itself — its content, niche relevance, and overall quality — alongside the metrics the owner reported. Sites that don't meet our standards are rejected, with a reason provided directly to the site owner so they know what to fix before resubmitting.

A site can also be resubmitted for review at any time — for example, if a publisher updates their listed metrics or turnaround time, that update goes back into the review queue before it goes live again.

3. What We Don't Currently Verify Automatically

In the interest of being upfront: the metrics above are reported by the site owner and reviewed by our team, not pulled automatically from a live third-party API (such as Ahrefs, Semrush, or Moz). If you notice a listing's reported metrics look inaccurate, contact support and we'll take a closer look.

4. Beyond Listing: Ongoing Link Protection

Our review doesn't stop once a site is listed. Every delivered order is backed by our 365-day live-link guarantee — if a placed link is removed or unpublished within a year of delivery, we'll work with the publisher to restore it or resolve the issue, up to a refund at our discretion. We don't currently run an automated system that checks your links on a schedule; the guarantee works on a report basis today — if you notice a link has gone down, contact support and we'll investigate. See the guarantee's full terms on our Refund & Dispute Policy.

5. No Guarantee of Rankings or Results

Quality review and metric reporting are informational — they help you make an informed choice about where to place content. As noted in our Terms of Service, we don't guarantee specific search ranking outcomes, traffic results, or other business outcomes from any placement.

6. Questions or Concerns

If you believe a listing doesn't meet these standards, or you're a publisher with questions about the review process, reach out via our Support page.
